Because of global warming, the ice cap on the Arctic Ocean is melting. The ice there is much thinner than in used to be back in 1980, it covers a much smaller area, and it breaks up more easily. If it disappears, what will happen to the animals, such as polar bears, walruses and seals, that live or breed on the ice? They will have nowhere to go. How can we save the polar ice cap? We have to find a way to stop global warming.
The melting ice is also bad for Santa Claus, because the workshop where his elves make the Christmas toys is at the North Pole, and the ice under it is breaking up. They’re about to lose their home but Santa can’t do anything about it because he’s losing his magic. Plus he’s under attack by a rival toymaker, Mr Snear, who is trying to steal Christmas. Can Vixen, the littlest reindeer, save Christmas?
